Whats On During This Week:
Monday 9th May - Mental Health and Wellbeing Day
08.30 - 18.00 : Connect with colleagues over a slice of cake
Come and enjoy a delicious slice of cake and regular hot drink with your colleagues in the Lounge at Derriford Centre for Health and Wellbeing (DCHW) between 8.30 and 6.00pm. Cost: £3.25 per person (max 6 per group).
09.30 - 10.00 : Time to Connect Taster Session with Dr Julia Bird, Clinical Psychologist.
Time to Connect are brief, guided and structured sessions designed for busy healthcare colleagues. They provide an opportunity to stop, reflect and connect with yourself and others, consider your own needs and support colleagues to do the same. They are not designed to replace specialist support but rather to help enhance and strengthen our connections as colleagues. Please feel free to come along to this taster session to start your week. 11.30 - 12.00 : How to self-refer for Single Session Therapy (SST)
Join Claire Pethick, Senior Counsellor from our Occupational Health Counselling and Mental Health Team, to find out all about SST, and how it can help and support you, with short Q&A. Click here to join the meeting
12.10 : Lunchtime walk
Walking helps improve mental and physical wellbeing, tackle depression and anxiety, and connect us with our world and those around us. Join Alfie from Derriford Centre for Health and Wellbeing (DCHW) for a brisk 30 minutes’ walk around the local area. Meet at the steps at the top of DCHW. All welcome.

Hosted by NHS Employers, learn about the challenges facing staff who are deaf and those with hearing loss and tinnitus. Find out how you can support them in the workplace.
