As of Saturday 1 October 2016, the 0845 telephone numbers in use at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust will cease to exist.
Instead patients and members of the public are to call geographic telephone numbers with 01752 dialling codes.
For patients and members of the public wanting to contact our main switchboard, the telephone number is 01752 202082.
All of our ward contact numbers can be found on our website: https://www.plymouthhospitals.nhs.uk/ward-contacts
For many patients and members of the public calling us on the geographic telephone numbers, it should cost them the same as their other local/national calls, depending on where they live, and be included in any bundled call packages they have with their phone supplier.
We have also changed our Calling Line Identity number; this is the number that is displayed on your phone when someone from the Trust makes a call from one of our internal telephones. This number has changed from 0845 155 8298 to 01752 438100.
It is used both to override any call barring set by the public and to maintain the confidentiality of our patients.
Therefore, if someone misses our calls and they call this number, they will hear a message saying ‘You have been called by a member of Plymouth NHS. If the call was important, we will try to contact you again shortly.’
