An independent survey of hospitals in England today delivers good news for our patients as the data shows that Derriford Hospital has a ten per cent better than expected mortality ratio.

A support centre which provides vital services for cancer patients and their carers was officially opened today (24 November) by patients, volunteers, Paul Roberts, Chief Executive and representatives from Macmillan Cancer Support.
 
Accreditation from UK Primary Immunodeficiency Network

Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust’s Primary Immunodeficiency Service is one of only four centres in the country to have achieved the standards required for full accreditation by the UK Primary Immunodeficiency Network.
 
Report from the NHS Security Management Service

The NHS Security Management Service has today published the latest official figures on violence against members of staff. The number of reported assaults per 1,000 staff at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust has gone down from 29 in 2007/08 to 17.3 in 2008/09.
