General information:
Following graduation from Bart’s Hospital, London in 1977 Mr Frappell spent 5 years in Bristol, where after surgical training and the award of the FRCS, he embarked on his career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Mr Frappell returned to London in 1984, where he was registrar and senior registrar at St. George’s Hospital until his appointment as a Consultant in Plymouth in 1991.

Mr Frappell is recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in the field of minimal access(“keyhole”) surgery and he has recently completed his term of office as President of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.

Mr Frappell sits on the council of the RCOG where currently he has responsibility as Lead for Simulation to support training in gynaecological surgery.
