Consultant Paediatrician

General information:
Having graduated from the University of Bristol in 1977, Dr Ward trained in paediatrics in Bristol, the South West, Norwich and Cambridge before being appointed as a consultant paediatrician in Plymouth in 1990. As the first Cancer & Leukaemia in Childhood Trust research fellow in 1983, investigating the endocrine consequences of the treatment of malignant disease, Dr Ward developed abiding major interests in paediatric oncology, growth and endocrinology. Trained as a general paediatrician he is the lead clinician for paediatric and adolescent oncology and provides a specialist growth and paediatric endocrinology service.
