The Plymouth Hepatico-pancreatico-biliary Cancer Centre sees and treats patients suffering with suspected cancer of the liver, pancreas and biliary system. It is both a local and tertiary referral service that provides care to patients in the South West Peninsula. We have been providing this tertiary service since 2006. It runs alongside the regional Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Centre located here in Plymouth.

The specialist team consists of 3 consultant surgeons, 3 consultant hepatologists, 2 consultant oncologists, 4 gastro-intestinal consultant radiologists, 1 consultant palliative care physician, 2 upper gastro-intestinal cancer nurse specialists, 1 surgical care nurse practitioner and 2 consultant histopathologists. The surgeons work closely as a single team and provide 24/7 (round the clock) cover for the unit.
