Plymouth Oncology Centre is a centre of excellence in the treatment of cancer.  We aim to provide the best possible care for our patients, and we believe that offering patients the opportunity to enter into clinical trials is an important part of that care. 

We have an active research centre with dedicated staff who run clinical trials across a range of different types of cancers.  We are also involved in national studies, which can involves thousands of patients across the country. 

Why do I need to know about them?

Your doctors or clinical nurse specialist may want to discuss a clinical trial with you.  If there is a trial for which you are eligible this should be offered to you.  There is absolutely no obligation for you to enter a trial and if you decide not to enter.
