The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Outpatient Department is located on level 7 of Derriford Hospital.

The department is very busy and there are approximately 18,000 outpatient episodes, 1500 inpatients and 600 day case operations per year in addition to about 650 emergency admissions per year.

In addition to providing a general ENT service the Department has a variety of special skills and runs special clinics in the following areas:

• Paediatric and Adult Otolaryngology
• Neuro-otology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery
• Vestibular disorders and Dizziness
• Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery
• Voice Disorders
• Head and Neck Surgery

The Department works in close association with Audiology, Speech and Language Therapists and Hearing Therapists in order to offer the best possible service to its patients.
