Support and advice for long-COVID

Did you know? New 1-1 support and advice available to colleagues with long-COVID

Following a successful rehabilitation pilot at Marjon University developed by our Physiotherapy COVID Team, the team are delighted to offer one-to-one advice and support to any colleagues who may not be improving as expected from long-COVID (a term used to describe the effects of COVID-19 that continue for weeks or months beyond the initial illness) and feel they could use some extra help with their recovery.  The personalised support available includes 3 months free access to the Derriford Centre for Health and Wellbeing’s fitness expert and unlimited exercise classes, to help support recovery and wellbeing.

To access the support, colleagues can self-refer using the Physiotherapy Self-referral form (plymouthhospitals.nhs.uk)

The following support and resources are also available:

  1. Long Covid Rehabilitation Booklet- produced by Derriford’s Physiotherapy Team
  2. HOPE Programme for long-Covid  free online help with fatigue management and coping strategies
  3. Your COVID Recovery | Supporting your recovery after COVID-19 – NHS England website
