Multi-Disciplinary Team

Often the first contact a patient will have with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) is the MDT clinic.  At the first clinic, the patient is reviewed by surgeons and oncologists who have previously discussed any relevant radiology.

This type of clinic can be potentially very daunting for a patient because they are seeing so many clinicians at the same appointment.  However this affords the best possible assessment and planning for patients.

The sarcoma specialist nurse is also present to aid any further communication
