These programmes have been commissioned to address inequalities in Career Progression for ethnically diverse colleagues at UHP. These inequalities have been identified through our Workforce Race Equality Standards data and feedback from members of our Staff Networks. At UHP, we want to support all colleagues to reach their potential and to progress within their careers where they wish to. This support will look different for different people. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths and we must continue to strengthen it even further.
In order to make sure that this leadership offer is as valuable as possible for those that enrol, we have facilitated the below additional support:
- Support with the application process
- Guidance for managers to support team members attending leadership development training
- Coaching and Mentoring from an experienced leader and coach for up to 6 hours within a 6 month period
- Opportunity to participate in group supervision with Leadership Facilitator for up to 6 months post programme
We know that we have an incredible workforce here at UHP and there will be many colleagues who would be suitable for this opportunity. Please reach out to us at plh-tr.equalitydiversityandinclusion@nhs.net if you think you might be one of them to discuss your options further or to receive guidance on the application process.
We also encourage managers to consider members of their team who would be suited to this opportunity and to have those open discussions with them.
