Our Chief Nurse Greg Dix is set to leave Plymouth to join Cwm Taf University Health Board.
Greg has been with the Trust since February 2013 and has played a key part in the development of our partner school, Scott Medical and Healthcare College, where he is Chair of Governors.
Greg will take up his new post as Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Services in south Wales in April, working in a large organisation which is responsible for both primary and secondary care.
Greg, who is also an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences at the University of Plymouth, said: “I will be sad to leave many friends and colleagues in Plymouth, not just in our trust but also in the wider health and social care community and in education. I have particularly enjoyed my role at Scott Medical and Healthcare College, helping develop a really exciting and innovative education offer for youngsters in our city. But this new post offers a chance to work across both acute and community services, something I have never done before.”
Ann James, Chief Executive, said: “Greg has led work in a number of important areas in Plymouth, including demonstrating our achievements in providing outstanding care as measured by the CQC, improving patients’ experience and developing closer links with our education partners. We wish him well in his new role in Wales.”
