From 3 August 2020, University Hospitals Plymouth will be working with Nuffield Plymouth Hospital to recommence elective orthopaedic surgery.
Patients will be clinically assessed for suitability against a set of criteria that is designed to ensure patient safety. We have opened a rehab therapy gym for patients in a bay on Stannon Ward. Patients from different areas of the hospital will be able to come to the gym and use it as part of their therapy. There will be seven or eight sessions per day as well as some socially-distanced group exercises.
