Dr Toby Nelson

Consultant Dermatologist, Mohs Micrographic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Qualifications: MBBS BSc (Hons) MRCP (UK) Derm DMCC AACMS

Toby qualified from Guys, Kings and St Thomas' School of Medicine in 2007. He served as a Medical Officer in the British Army for 9 years. He remains a member of the Army Reserves. He worked in the West Midlands and North Yorkshire and gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians in 2012. Toby completed higher specialist training in Dermatology in Wessex becoming a Consultant in 2017. Toby then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology in New Zealand, gaining membership to the American college of Mohs Surgery (ACMS). Toby is one of only eleven dermatological surgeons in the UK with this prestigious accreditation.  

Outside of medicine, Toby's young family keeps him busy. At weekends, he and his wife Sarah can usually be found enjoying the great outdoors with their children and dog.

Toby consults on both medical and surgical problems. His routine practice includes: Skin cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Medical dermatology including psoriasis, eczema, urticaria, skin infections. acne
