Terms and Conditions

By purchasing, or attempting to purchase, a Christmas Draw Ticket, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. The cost of each ticket entry into the NICU Christmas Draw is £2. You may purchase more than one ticket but the maximum number of tickets is one hundred (£100) per draw. Any further monies sent may be treated as a donation and not entered into the draw.
  2. Payment to enter the raffle must be made in advance of the draw date. Any payment received after the draw date will be treated as a donation. The purchase of one raffle ticket entitles the player to one chance in the relevant raffle draw.
  3. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years. Plymouth Hospitals Charity reserves the right to carry out age verification checks. Underage gambling is an offence. UK law states that it is an offence for raffle tickets to be sold to, by or on behalf of a person under 16 years of age. Therefore, if a ticket is sold to, by, or bought on behalf of a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will not be awarded any prize
  4. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 he/she will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit his/her prize.
  5. The NICU Christmas Draw is open people over the age of 16, except employees of Plymouth Hospitals Charity, or UHP staff who are directly involved with the raffle, their agencies and other companies directly involved in the running of the raffle.
  6. To purchase raffle tickets online entrants must be residents of the United Kingdom (only) and 16 years of age or over. Postal and telephone payment for raffle tickets are not permitted
  7. If bought by card you must obtain the card owner’s permission to buy a ticket.
  8. The NICU Christmas Draw will be drawn on 16th December.
  9. Monies raised by this raffle will support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit supported by Plymouth Hospitals Charity, registered charity number 1048679.
  10. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.
  11. Plymouth Hospitals Charity cannot accept CAF payments for raffle entries and all CAF payments will be treated as donations.
  12. Plymouth Hospitals Charity accepts no responsibility for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  13. Any ticket entries received after the closing date may miss entry into the draw and therefore will be considered as a donation to Plymouth Hospitals Charity.
  14. A random number generator will be used to select raffle prize winners.
  15. Other than first prize, prizes will be allocated in a random order.
  16. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  17. Please keep the email receipt or allocated number as proof of purchase.
  18. Where Plymouth Hospitals Charity is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for three months following Plymouth Hospitals Charity' first attempt to notify the prize-winner, Plymouth Hospitals Charity may apply the prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles.
  19. Where a prize-winner is unable to claim a prize due to geographical location, with their permission Plymouth Hospitals Charity will re-draw a winner for that prize. In agreeing to this, the original prize-winner will forfeit the prize and will not be offered an alternative.
  20. All winners are required to provide proof of age if requested.
  21. Plymouth Hospitals Charity holds the appropriate licences as required by the Gambling Commission and Plymouth City Council to operate this raffle.
  22. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, Plymouth Hospitals Charity reserves the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where Plymouth Hospitals Charity deems it appropriate and/or feasible it will notify entrants of the error.
  23. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Plymouth Hospitals Charity reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.
