Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV
Qualifications: MBBS, MRCP, MD, Dip HIV, Dip GUM, Dip FFP
Dave graduated from UCL Medical School and completed his general medical rotation in London, gaining MRCP (UK) in 1999. His sexual health and HIV training was at Guys & St Thomas’ Hospital and Brighton. In 2013 he was awarded a research MD in Infection, also from UCL, for work that explored the clinical and epidemiological features of HIV seroconversion.
He is currently undertaking a part-time PhD in Design, at the Royal College of Art in London, which investigates the negative impact of the Electronic Patient Record on the clinician-patient relationship. He envisions a near future where clinicians will guide patients through their own clinical data via shared interfaces, and explores how visual design can improve clinical relevance and care through these interfaces.
