Compliance in Oncology, Neuroscience and Urology Service Lines with all Ionising Radiation legislation for use with external beam and sealed source radiation therapy

To provide a mandatory Quality Control programme for equipment used for radiotherapy including local and national dosimetric inter-comparisons

Compliance with cancer standards, improving outcomes engaging with commissioners – to provide radiotherapy with minimal delays

To complete all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of medical devices in accordance with quality targets and as part of a risk management programme in accordance with Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) guidance

To have efficient clinical technology work processes which are supported by good equipment management information

To provide and continue to develop a successful Medical Equipment Library

To promote and support the safe use of ionising radiations, to ensure safe environments for patient, staff and visitors
