General Information:

Dr Acevedo completed his undergraduate training in the University Cayetano Heredia in Peru in 2001. He trained as Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in the prestigious Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, Spain, finishing specialist training in 2008. He completed Masters in Comprehensive care of patient in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department in 2009 and completed Masters in Research in Liver Diseases in 2011, both at the University of Barcelona. He was awarded PhD with qualification Excellent Cum Laude from University of Barcelona, Spain in 2014. He worked as Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist from 2008-2014 in Barcelona, Spain. He worked at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth in 2014 and joint the SWLU in 2015. He is active member of the European CLIF Research Consortium. Research interests in decompensated cirrhosis.
