A special visit from Plymouth Music Makers

Music Makers Last month Derriford Hospital was paid a special visit by local party company, Plymouth Music Makers.

The team, who were dressed as children’s characters Chase from Paw Patrol, Batman and Disney Princesses Belle and Elsa, spent some time with children staying on the wards and handed-out gifts, which had been generously donated by their customers.

“Music Makers have become a regular visitor to the children’s wards, after being introduced by a parent of a patient here a few years ago”, explains Sue Rodgers, Play Service Team Leader. “Their characters help to encourage children, who may have been bed-bound for a while, to want to get up and to have their pictures taken, or just to have a cuddle.

“Our staff always look forward to the Music Makers’ visit, as it brings such joy to our children. We really appreciate them taking time out of their busy schedule and would like to thank them for their continued support.”
