The Future Hospital Programme aims to transform how care is delivered and improve lives across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall through investment in the most up-to-date healthcare environment.
We are creating buildings and services to provide high-quality care and better health outcomes for people and their families, through every stage of life.
This includes services which are closer to people’s homes, digital transformation, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to support faster diagnosis, and new interventional radiology theatres and surgical theatres to be able to treat patients more quickly.
Some of the main benefits of the programme include a new purpose-built Urgent and Emergency Care facility which will double the space to care for the increasing numbers of patients with urgent and emergency conditions.
