Theatres
Our Areas:
Theatre Central is a dynamic and innovative environment that provides learning opportunities for registered nurses, operating department practitioners and health care assistants to work across all domains of perioperative care.
As a tertiary and trauma centre we have 33 theatres that offers a wide variety of surgical specialities, additionally we have two interventional radiology suites and cath labs.
Why work for us?
There is opportunity to work within three disciplines of scrub, anaesthetics and recovery, also we have a standalone nurse-led pre-assessment unit and day of surgery admissions unit.
We strive to provide a learning environment offering in-house induction and bespoke leadership competency development to facilitate career progression. As a department we are committed to non-registered staff training which includes NVQ level 2 & 3. We also offer a foundation degree for Assistant Practitioners which is a new exciting role in theatres, working within surgery or recovery.
Safety is pivotal to care deliver and we take a multi-discipline approach providing human factors and simulation training session to all perioperative staff.
