Consultant Colorectal Surgeon

Mr Brundell attended medical school in Nottingham and then spent most of his subsequent training in Leicester, with two years in Australia gaining a doctorate in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. He moved to Plymouth in 2005 to take up his post as a consultant surgeon specialising  in colorectal surgery. Although he enjoys routine general surgery he particularly concentrates on the surgical management of minor anorectal problems as well as both colorectal cancer and complicated diverticular disease.

He has an interest in teaching and training and is the deputy surgical tutor at Derriford Hospital. As part of this role he organises the training program for all junior surgeons working at Derriford hospital.
