Dr Richard Bullough
Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Richard graduated from the University of Manchester in 2008, with a period of study at Keele University. After gaining experience across a range of specialties and completing a Teaching Fellowship at Lincoln Hospital, he moved to the South West in 2014 to undertake postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine.
During his specialist training, Richard represented trainees at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in training and education. He completed the Fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in 2019 and, following completion of specialist training, was appointed as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Derriford Hospital in 2020.
Since becoming a consultant, Richard has held a number of leadership roles within the Emergency Department, including Clinical Governance Lead and Service Line Director.
