A children’s lifeline opens in Plymouth, thanks to The Primrose Foundation

The Primrose Foundation, a registered charity based at Derriford Hospital, has joined forces with Bobtails Nursery to offer a lifeline to children, whose parents have been touched by breast cancer. A new support group is being launched to help children of all ages understand they aren’t alone and will give them an opportunity to play and interact with other children who are going through the same experience.

A touching tribute to baby Mylo

A thoughtful donation has been received by our maternity department, to help parents who suffer the loss of a baby. Amber and Josh Goddard fundraised to purchase a Flexmort CuddleClot, which they have kindly gifted to Derriford Hospital in memory of their baby son, Mylo.

Local couple work with hospital staff to introduce potentially life-saving wallets to expectant mums

In a few months' time, thanks to the hard work and dedication of a local couple, pregnant ladies in Plymouth and the surrounding areas will be given a potentially life-saving wallet at their booking in appointment. The wallets will not only protect their maternity notes wherever they go; they will also display important information and advice regarding mum’s health, and that of her baby’s.
