Consultant Anaesthetist

General information:
Dr Christie graduated from University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1988. After completing National Service he commenced his anaesthetic training at Baragwaneth Hospital in Johannesburg. In 1991 he moved to Northampton as an Anaesthetic SHO before joining the Bristol Registrar rotation in 1992 and obtaining the FRCA. He spent 1996 in the cardiothoracic unit in Auckland before returning to the UK and completing his training in the South West. In 1999 he was appointed as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Derriford Hospital.
