General information:
Dr Coates graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College, in July 1998. Having joined the Royal Navy, following house jobs in Peterborough and Derriford, he spent three years undertaking General Duties appointments, before commencing Basic Surgical Training at Derriford in 2002. In 2005, he moved to Dundee where he trained as a Radiologist in the East of Scotland deanery. This included secondments to the Western General and Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. He was awarded CCT in July 2010. He was appointed as a Consultant in Interventional Radiology at Derriford Hospital in March 2011.

EVAR, vascular access, peripheral vascular intervention. Trauma and Emergency CT.
