Mark is a general surgeon who specialises in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. He is Lead-Clinician for Colorectal Surgery and was appointed in 2001. His main interests are laparoscopic bowel surgery for cancer, diverticular and inflammatory bowel diseases. He is a national trainer in laparoscopic bowel surgery. He performs many other laparoscopic procedures such as splenectomy, cholecystectomy, inguinal and incisional hernia repair. He is Trust Surgical Skills Tutor, and Convenor of the Basic Surgical Skills Course. He performs colonoscopy and gastroscopy.
