Dr Ioannis Emmanouil Dimitropoulos
Consultant in Diabetes Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine
General information:
Dr Dimitropoulos, originally from Greece, graduated from Charles University 1st Faculty of Medicine in Prague with Honours in 2004 after having completed a Human Biology Degree with honours at the University of Utah in 1997. Dr Dimitropoulos has completed the entirety of his post-graduate medical training in the UK.
He was appointed in his current Consultant post with UHP in January 2015, achieving MRCP in Internal Medicine UK (London) in 2008, MRCP UK (London) in Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2014 and completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Medical Education with the University of Plymouth in 2015.
He is an Honorary Clinical Fellow of the Plymouth Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry and Lecturer at Charles University 1st Faculty of Medicine in Prague.
He is fluent in Greek and English and speaks Czech at intermediate and Polish at basic level.
