Qualifications: MBBS, MD, MRCOG, Subspecialist Urogynaecologist

 

General information:

She completed Obstetrics and Gynaecology training from Yorkshire Deanery. After general O&G training, she undertook three years higher specialist training in Urogynaecology from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has been working as a consultant O&G and a Subspecialist Urogynaecologist at Derriford Hospital since 2012.

Since her appointment, the unit has been accredited by the British Society of Urogynaecology and as a subspecialist training centre by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology.

 

General areas of expertise:

Female pelvic floor related problems such as urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse and bowel problems.

Also have an interest in clinical research and have published many papers on management of urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse and sexual dysfunction.

 

Particular areas of expertise:

Special interest in management of overactive bladder, key hole surgery for stress urinary incontinence and prolapse, urethral bulking and Botox injections for both urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. I also undertake joint working with the colorectal team for women with multiple and complex pelvic floor disorders.
