National pioneers of sustainable working and portfolio careers, the consultant team at Derriford's ED are looking to find Emergency Medicine Fellows to work alongside us in our newly-renovated Major Trauma Centre emergency department here in the wonderful South West Peninsula.
Consistently recognised as a centre of training and developmental excellence, and rated amongst the top EDs in the country at the RCEM annual awards in 2018, we are excited to be able to offer a range of flexible “middle grade” EM appointments to join our team in 2019.

The Team
New recruits would join a large and varied middle grade team, many of whom have enjoyed a number of years with us. Our philosophy is one of investment in our colleagues and new EM fellows will be able to call upon the support of a dedicated CESR supervisor as well as a team of experienced emergency medical educationalists.
The department is a busy but friendly tertiary hospital ED and regional MTC, seeing over 110,000 patients per year, that enjoys good relations with the rest of the team at UHP. We are just completing a renovation to our resus and paediatric areas and have secured funding to build a new state-of-the-art ED if like many you fancy staying around for a while..
The Region
Plymouth is a vibrant university city by the sea, set on the border of Devon and Cornwall, with an active cultural scene and amazing quality of life. Dartmoor, the South Hams and South East Cornwall are all within living distance. Schooling is excellent, with high quality primary and secondary schools (including grammar). The region offers a full range of leisure opportunities, with ocean and moor both under 20 minutes from our door.
