Recruitment Desk Session at Devonport Job Centre
On Thursday 22nd May, Scarlett from the UHP’s General Recruitment Team visited Devonport Job Centre to meet with jobseekers interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. The session offered individuals the opportunity to book one-to-one appointments and receive personalised guidance on planning their path into the NHS.
During the day, Scarlett worked closely with each participant to understand their skills, interests, and career aspirations. Whether they were completely new to the healthcare sector or looking to transfer existing experience into a new role, Scarlett provided tailored advice on job opportunities across the NHS and the steps required to get started.
These one-to-one sessions were designed to help jobseekers build realistic and achievable career plans - whether that meant entry-level roles, apprenticeships, or longer-term goals in clinical or non-clinical fields. Scarlett also offered insights into training routes, application support, and progression opportunities at UHP.
