General information:
Dr Houlberg graduated from Southampton University in 1993. He began a general medical training rotation at Derriford Hospital in 1997 before starting specialist training in renal and general medicine in 2000. He left for Scotland in 2003 to study a PhD in inflammation research at Edinburgh University and completed his specialist training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 2008. Appointed as a consultant to Derriford Hospital in 2009, he spends his working time split between the renal and medical assessment units.
