General information:
Mo Jayarajah was educated at King’s College School, studied medicine at St George’s, London, graduating in 1987. Completed his general anaesthetic training in SW and NE London. Trained in Cardiothoracic anaesthesia at the Royal Brompton, Royal London and London Chest Hospitals. He was appointed as a Consultant at Derriford hospital in 1997, was a co-founder of the SW cardiothoracic Centre and former Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care.

Particular areas of expertise:
- Cardiac, Thoracic and Upper GI anaesthesia.
- Cardiac intensive care particularly post operative renal replacement therapy and management of patients with poor ventricular function.
- Perio-operative trans oesophageal echocardiography
- Regional anaesthesia for eye surgery
Research Interests:
Mo is currently collaborating with Prof. Myles (Aus) in an International study (ATACAS) and is the UK CI for the clinical trial.
