Mr Z Karmi
Consultant Neurosurgeon and Complex Spine Surgeon
Mr Karmi is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Complex Spine Surgeon at Derriford Hospital, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, with a specialist interest in minimally invasive spine surgery, Endoscopic spinal surgery, Spinal tumours and Navigation/Robotic surgery. He completed a Spinal Fellowship at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He is a member of The British Association of Spine Surgeons BASS and the Society of British Neurosurgeons SBNS.
He holds Full Specialist Registration with the General Medical Council.
His current research interests focus on Traumatic spinal cord injuries, in particular, the management of Spinal cord pressures and strategies to improve clinical outcomes.
In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in teaching junior doctors and supervising their professional development.
