Plymouth’s Anchor Institutions Unite to Support Parents with New Online Resource

Plymouth’s four largest anchor institutions, Plymouth City Council, Babcock International Group, University of Plymouth, and University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, have united under the Civic Engagement Agreement to improve information for parents, to ensure that they can access the support, resources, and information they need to help their families thrive.

UHP Consultant chosen for Women in Surgery London exhibition

Manuela Cresswell, Consultant Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust has been chosen to have her portrait displayed at the Hunterian Museum, inside the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) in London, as part of the ‘Insight: Portraits of Women in Surgery’ exhibition which shines a light on women working in surgery across the UK.

Our Emergency Department is currently very busy and if you do not have an emergency or life-threatening condition, you may be redirected to other healthcare services. These include NHS 111, our Urgent Treatment Centres at the Dartmoor Building and the Cumberland Centre, and our Minor Injury Units at Kingsbridge and Tavistock. You may also be advised to use local pharmacies or to contact your GP.
