Consultant Radiologist  

General information:
Dr Lavis graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1996.  He initially trained as a surgeon in the West Midlands, obtaining MRCS, before transferring to Plymouth for Radiology training in 2001.  Whilst in Plymouth he developed an interest in sailing, gained FRCR and a PGCE in Medical Education.  He worked as a Consultant Radiologist from 2006 to 2014 in Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust before relocating back to Plymouth in 2014.  He has specialist interests in Head and Neck and Urology imaging.

General areas of expertise:
General Radiology, CT, MRI, USS, teaching.

Particular areas of expertise:
Uro-radiology; Head and Neck Imaging.
