
Mr Adrian Marchbank BSc FRCS CTh
Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Mr Marchbank is a consultant thoracocardiac surgeon with an interest in robotic surgery for lung cancer. He is also the Caldicott Guardian for the Trust, advising on confidentiality and data protection issues. He has responsibilities for thoracic surgical data collection and audit, and is the previous Lead Clinician for lung cancer, and former Chairman of the Lung Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Support Group. Mr Marchbank started the programme to locally train surgical care practitioners, and is the Lead Peninsula Clinical Supervisor for SCP training. He is an associate lecturer at the University of Plymouth and Clinical Lecturer, Peninsula Medical School. He was Chief Investigator for ANTICS Trial, and Principal Investigator for the RAMON, Fit4Surgery, ORIF, PulmiCC and SMART Trials in Plymouth.
