Consultant Anaesthetist with specialist interest in pain
General information:
Dr Rockett graduated from Bristol University Medical School MB ChB in 1993. He also completed a BSc in Psychology during this time. He has trained in pain medicine and anaesthesia in Edinburgh and Auckland New Zealand, returning to Plymouth in 2006 to take up a post as consultant anaesthetist. He has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh, and is a Fellow of The Faculty of Pain Medicine in the UK and Australasia, being awarded the Barbara Walker Prize for excellence in pain medicine in 2004. He is an honorary Associate Professor at PUPSMD and the Acute Pain Representative on the Faculty of Pain Medicine Board and the Perioperative Medicine Group of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
