Dr Amy Roy BMedSci, MRCP,FRCR
Consultant Clinical Oncologist

General information:
Dr Roy qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London with a First Class honours degree in Medical Sciences. She carried out her general medical training in and around London. She trained in oncology at UCLH, Mount Vernon, The Royal Free and St Bartholomew’s hospitals.

Dr Roy is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC). She was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist to Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008

Particular areas of expertise:
Dr Roy specialises in the treatment of Head and Neck Cancer, Lung Cancer, Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma, and Thyroid Cancer. She has particular interest in chemoradiation, hyperfractionated and accelerated radiotherapy, and IMRT (intensity modulated radiotherapy). Dr Roy is also a very experience clincal oncology researcher having been a Principal Investigator on numerous studies.
