Consultant Orthodontist

General information:
Dr Scott qualified as a dentist at the University of Liverpool in 2003. She worked in a family dental practice in the New Forest for a year before working in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department in Salisbury for four years. It was in this hospital that she developed a specialist interest in the care of patients born with a cleft lip and/or palate. 

In 2011 Dr Scott completed three years of specialist orthodontic training at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and with the University of Bristol. Her consultant training continued at Derriford Hospital and the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro. She gained her fellowship in Orthodontics in 2013 and was appointed as a Consultant Orthodontist at Derriford in 2014.

· Orthodontic treatment for patients requiring multidisciplinary care (orthodontics with maxillofacial and/or restorative dentistry

Particular areas of expertise:
Dr Scott is the local lead clinician for patients born with cleft lip and/or palate.
