Dr Sweeting trained in London, the South West and Sweden, gaining his FRCA. He was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at Derriford Hospital in 2004.

General anaesthetic practice, especially anaesthesia outside the operating theatre.

Particular expertise in head and neck anaesthesia. Lead anaesthetist in the management of difficult airways. Lead anaesthetist for sedation.
