Mr A Taylor
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Mr Taylor was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012. He graduated from University College London in 2002 and subsequently trained and worked in London, Australia, and the Wessex Obstetrics and Gynaecology rotation.
Mr Taylor has a strong commitment to providing safe, effective, and evidence-based care throughout pregnancy and labour. He is also passionate about education and training, supporting the development of both midwifery and medical staff through a wide range of teaching and learning opportunities.
In 2025, Mr Taylor chose to focus exclusively on Obstetrics. He leads the Type 2 Diabetes and Haematology Pregnancy Service and has a specialist interest in high-risk antenatal care. His clinical practice includes overseeing labour ward care and performing elective Caesarean sections on a regular basis.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Mr Taylor contributes to service improvement and patient safety through his work as a reviewer for several maternity reviews.
