Dr Mark Thurston
Consultant radiologist
Dr Thurston trained at University of Bristol, graduating in 2009. He completed basic training (including placements in plastic surgery and orthopaedics) before accepting a place on the Peninsula PGME School of Radiology training scheme.
Mark obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2018 and has been working as a Consultant Radiologist in Derriford since 2020.
He has an ongoing interest in training and has previously been an editor for Radiopaedia.
In addition to his NHS work, he has an interest in applications of computer vision in radiology and collaborates with the University of Plymouth.
