Staff Diversity within University Hospitals Plymouth

  • Our staff are 75% female and 25% male
  • 5.8% of colleagues have declared a disability
  • 58.7% of colleagues align with a religion
  • 13.2% of colleagues identify as Black, Asian and ethnic minority
  • 3.3% of colleagues identify as LGBT+
  • Our staff range from below 20 to above 71. The highest number is in the 31 to 35 age  range.

UHP have seen an increase diversity in all of our protected groups year on year. We recognise that embedding equality, diversity and inclusion into everything we do is the cornerstone of creating a working environment where people are treated with respect, dignity, kindness and compassion. We are all unique and being able to bring our wholeselves to work is so important and creates sense of that we belonging.
