General information:
Stuart Weatherby is a consultant neurologist. He qualified from Bristol University and trained in general medicine at hospitals in the Midlands and Oxford. He completed general neurology training at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham and has a higher degree in genetic and clinical outcomes in multiple sclerosis.
He completed additional subspecialty training in headache at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, specialist centres in Madrid, and as a visiting consultant attachment at the Jefferson Headache Centre in Philadelphia.
General areas of expertise:
Stuart is part of the neurology team at Derriford Hospital providing 24/7 acute inpatient neurology and stroke care, and also general and subspecialty outpatient services.
Particular areas of expertise:
Subspecialty interest in headache disorders. He is currently the President of the British Association for the Study of Headache and also sits on the national headache guideline writing committee.
