General information:
Dr Williams qualified in Medicine from Oxford University Medical School in 1979 having gained a First Class Honours degree in Physiological Sciences from Pembroke College Oxford in 1976. After junior hospital jobs in the Oxford region he transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge where he qualified in radiology winning the Rohan Williams Medal in Radiodiagnosis in 1984. From 1986 to 89 he was Senior Lecturer in CT and MRI for the Cancer Research Campaign Radiology Research Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
He moved to Plymouth in 1989 to set up the body CT scanning service, wrote the specification for the first MRI scanner in Plymouth and was instrumental in introducing a Picture Archiving and Communication System, PACS in 2000.
Over the years he has qualified in health service management, MBA University of Keele 1996, held a variety of management posts including Clinical Director, Caldicott Guardian, PAS Lead, PACS Lead and sat on numerous Regional and National committees.

General Radiology particularly plain radiology and CT scanning.
Particular areas of expertise:
All aspects of Oncological Radiology, Body CT, CT guided biopsy and drainage techniques.
