Making it better for everyone

To our supporters, donors, friends, staff and volunteers

Your health is a top priority, and the health of those around you.

We work in a community with lots of people in close connection with one another. In-person communication is part of how we do our best work, but it’s also something we always need to be careful about - especially now, with COVID 19 concerns.
Our priority now is to protect you and to protect our front line nursing and social care staff with whom we share office space. Whilst we love meeting our amazing fundraisers and donors we feel, at this time, we need to take care of our medical and hospital staff, in order to minimise the risk of spreading this virus.
You can help us by paying in any fundraising income or make a donation, by charity check out, please use this link: Charity Checkout

Alternatively, if you would like to pay a donation directly into the charity bank account please use the following link and we will provide you with the details needed.  Send me the details

If you would like to contact us please email the charity team and we will get back to you.  Click here to email the Charity Team

In the meantime, please make sure you're getting your news from a reputable source. Please visit the main University Hospital Plymouth NHS Trust pages for more information relating to Derriford Hospital.
We’ll get through this!

With appreciation for all of you,
The Plymouth Hospital Charity Team

Fundraising Regulator

We are proud to be registered with the Fundraising Regulator who serve to strengthen the system of charity regulation and restore public trust in fundraising. We've adopted their Fundraising Promise which you can find here.

Why are we called the Plymouth Hospitals Charity rather than Derriford?

When we first came into existence there were separate hospitals in Plymouth that provided services, now most are situated at Derriford. We do still have sites outside of Plymouth, at other hospitals, including cancer outreach centres in Tavistock, Liskeard and Kingsbridge.

Our Annual Review

Our annual review, which can be found here, features some incredible stories and case studies of the charity’s donors.
