University Hospital Plymouth NHS Trust’s Community Phlebotomy Hub, previously offered at Future Inns, will now move to Windsor House on Tavistock Road, Derriford, Plymouth in a move designed to enhance patient experience and streamline blood testing services. By transitioning to Windsor House, the Trust aims to provide a more accessible and convenient service for patients.

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is celebrating the completion of its newly refurbished Interventional Radiology (IR) rooms, which has also involved an expansion of the department from two to three rooms.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves has today presented the government’s plans for the Budget, and although a segment does mention financial support for the NHS, we await to hear further details for individual New Hospital Programme schemes.

The New Hospital Programme is preparing to host its first ever South West ‘Meet the Contractor’ event on Thursday 7 November 2024 in Plymouth. The event will focus on upcoming supplier opportunities with University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust are making great progress on the construction of the Dartmoor Building which will be the new home for a number of services the hospital provides including a new Urgent Treatment Centre and the relocation of the Fracture Clinic.

Following the announcement of the New Hospital Programme Review, as outlined by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 29 July 2024, the Terms of Reference for the review have now been agreed with the Chief Secretary of HM Treasury. The paper details which schemes will form part of the review and includes Derriford Hospital’s new Urgent and Emergency Care Facility.
