Having a ball to raise funds for Intensive Care Unit

Local business owners the Isaias’s hosted a charity night in March to raise funds for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The night was a huge success raising an incredible £19,735.26 for the Spring Intensive Care charity.

Grateful for the care and support recently given to family members in the unit, the Isaias wated to give something back and organised a ball and evening of entertainment. The family said:

“We are thrilled to announce we raised £19,735.26 for Spring Intensive Care Plymouth from our charity night on Saturday. Huge thank you to everyone that attended and donated, we are overwhelmed by your generosity. We are especially grateful again to the Intensive Care unit staff in Plymouth for their incredible work they do on a daily basis” (Facebook post)

The ICU team were thrilled by the donation and Rachael Porter, the ICU matron said

“The ICU team treat patients and their families with compassion and care on a daily basis and donations like this really reflect on their hard work. We are truly grateful for the impressive amount of money raised by the Isaias family. This generous contribution will make a real difference and will go towards a variety of things for patients, relatives and staff” 

The Spring Intensive Care is a charity created to raise funds for the ICU. The Charity has used its funds to purchase lifesaving equipment, fund nurse education and support the families of critically ill patients.
