Patient enjoys cinema at the hospital with family

Our amazing team at Mount Gould made Queen Liz's stay, one of our palliative care patients, special for her and her family.

Jen Hales, one of our doctors at Mount Gould Hospital, explains in the video how they go above an beyond for our patients. When patients are admitted to hospital, a team of clinicians will talk to the patient, and their family and loved ones, not only about their health, but about what would make their stay with us more comfortable. It was during this chat with Liz that she explained how important it was for her to be able to watch Wicked 2 with her granddaughter. Unfortunately, Liz could not travel to the cinema, so staff went above and beyond to bring the cinema to her.

Doctor Hales got in touch with a charity that supports hospital patients and they were able to get a private screening of the movie set up in one of the wards at Mount Gould for Liz and all her family to attend. The family went all out for the occasion with snacks, drinks and even an outfit and make-up.
